Sarah A. Barker Davis
Died: Friday, November 29, 2002
Age: 90

Sarah A. Davis, 90, 8001 Dayton-Springfield Road, Fairborn, formerly of 
Sidney, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at 8:40 p.m. at Day Springs Nursing Home 
in Fairborn.
She was born Dec. 8, 1911, in Sidney, the daughter of Sylvester Barker and 
Bertha (Chambers) Barker.
In 1943 she married Richard W. Davis. He died June 14, 1993.
She is survived by a son, Richard Davis Jr. of Dayton; three grandchildren; 
four brothers, Leonard Barker and Marcellus Barker, both of Sidney, Robert 
L. Barker of St. James City, Fla. and William R. Barker of Troy; and two 
sisters, Marcella Detrick of Sidney and Georgia Liller of Rio Verde, Ariz.
Mrs. Davis was a retired employee of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. She 
was administrative assistant to the commander of the 4950th Avionics 
Maintenance Squadron, retiring in 1982 after 16 years at the base. She was a 
member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She 
attended St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Fairborn.
Services are set for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, with the 
Rev. Chris Heckaman officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until the time of 
service.
